Hello From The Callanders

Preston Hall has always been home for me, but after leaving university I headed south. When I first arrived in London I had planned to stay for a couple of years before moving out to the countryside. I did not expect to be leaving seven years later with a wife and one year old son, Archie.

As a small family we have now moved back to Scotland for what we thought would be a relaxed quieter pace of life, how wrong we were. At that stage we did not fully appreciate how much Archie would love the outdoors and how excited he was about going up to the farm or on long walks along the riverside.

In addition to Archie, we both have full time jobs, I am based in Edinburgh working for a commercial property company, whilst Henrietta, having left her London career in luxury hotels now juggles Preston Hall events, looking after Archie, and is also starting a business (more on that another time!)

It has always been a family home, which gives it its unique charm. We are very conscious of this but also realise that change is inevitable if we are to make it a success.
